Summer’s heating up, and for a lot of us, that means more time on the trail—whether it’s long drives into the backcountry, high-speed desert runs, or navigating technical terrain. We have something for everyone in our collection of wheels at Fittipaldi Off Road, but one segment in particular was made for moments like these: our Beadlock Series.
Designed for function first, our FB Series beadlock wheels are engineered to handle the demands of real off-road driving. These cast wheels are put through our high-standard T6 heat treatment and finished off with a forged beadlock ring to ensure strength and maximum functionality. They’re equipped with 3/8” grade 8 yellow zinc-plated hardware, heavy-duty steel threaded inserts, and a serrated beadlock mounting face— all to create the optimal durability while keeping the wheel light. The current lineup consists of four unique designs that were built to turn heads, but one fan-favorite is dominating the summer: our FB151.
Available in a 17” diameter with 5- and 6-lug fitments and a -38 offset, the FB151 offers a deep, aggressive stance. The stepped 7-mesh spoke design is simple, sharp, and versatile—built to work with a range of truck and SUV platforms. It’s offered in three finish options: Machined with a matching forged ring, Satin Black with a gloss black ring, and Red with a gloss black ring for a more bold, distinctive look.
We’ve seen this wheel take on a wide range of builds, but two in particular highlight just how adaptable it is: Ronnie Maximo’s GX 470 and Joey Nguyen’s 4Runner.
Ronnie’s 2008 Lexus GX 470, running the FB151 in Machined, is a clean and capable build. He was drawn to the FB151 because, as he puts it, “it strikes the perfect balance. It’s aggressive without being overstyled, and refined without feeling soft. It doesn’t try too hard, which is exactly what I wanted for this build: a capable, purpose-driven look that feels confident and intentional, not overly flashy.”
Outside of the wheels, every detail of Ronnie’s GX has been purposefully chosen, making it tough to pinpoint a single favorite part of the build. “From the tent and roof rack to the exhaust, suspension, wheels, and bumpers, each component has its place and purpose,” he says. “What I appreciate most is how each element reflects partnerships with brands that, in my opinion, deserve more recognition.” After several stages of refining and evolving the build, Ronnie shared that it now feels complete, and he genuinely loves every aspect of it.
Joey’s 2004 Toyota 4Runner shows a different side of the FB151. Set up for high-speed desert runs, his build runs the wheel in Gloss Black with a raw forged ring. “I was drawn to this style mainly for the aggressive, sporty mesh design—it just looks fast standing still,” he says. “But beyond the aesthetics, the beadlock functionality was non-negotiable.” He emphasized the necessity of having true beadlocks in order to keep up with the demand of hard cornering, jumps, lower tire pressures, and ensuring the overall security and safety of the setup.
Built with both form and function in mind, the setup features one of Joey’s favorite elements: a custom 3rd Gen Tacoma front end. “It gives the truck that aggressive, sharp look,” he says. “The swap completely transforms the front end and gives it the kind of presence it should’ve had from the factory. It’s a rare mod too; as far as I know, there are only about three of these conversions in the world.”
The FB151 is lightweight, built to last, and designed with purpose—and that’s exactly why it continues to stand out, season after season.
