HOW TO CLEAN YOUR WHEELS

Our wheels here at Fittipaldi Off Road are made to stand out, and layers of brake dust and dirt aren’t exactly part of the look. No matter what finish or style you’re running, keeping them clean is one of the easiest ways to make sure your setup stays looking sharp. You’ve already picked a set worth looking at, and a clean wheel only gives people more reason to notice. We have a few simple steps to help keep your wheels clean and looking their best.

With a lineup that already includes some of our most recognizable styles, the Alpha Series continues to bring the Fittipaldi attitude through aggressive profiles and standout finishes made to fit a wide range of builds. Now, the segment expands again with three all-new styles: FA26, FA27, and FA28. Each wheel brings a different take on what the Alpha Series has to offer, giving you even more ways to create a setup that feels uniquely yours.

Make sure your vehicle and wheels have completely cooled down before cleaning. Once they are cool, start by rinsing your wheels with clean water to remove as much loose dirt and debris as possible. It’s best to clean one wheel at a time rather than tackling all four at once. This gives you more control over how long the cleaning product stays on each wheel and helps prevent it from drying on the surface.

Apply an even coat of wheel cleaner, then let it sit for the amount of time recommended in the product’s instructions. Next, use a soft detailing brush or a microfiber glove to gently work in the cleaner. If you don’t have either on hand, a clean microfiber towel works just as well. Pay attention to areas around the spokes, lug nuts, and other smaller crevices where dirt can collect. If you have our Mirror Coat or Chrome finishes, be especially careful when selecting and using your wheel cleaner. Avoid letting the cleaner sit on your wheel for too long, and do not scrub too aggressively to help prevent damage.

When you’re finished cleaning, thoroughly rinse away the wheel cleaner and any remaining dirt. Then use clean microfiber towels to dry the surface. Drying the wheel rather than letting it air dry can help reduce water spots and ensure your finish looks extra clean.

Repeat the same process on each remaining wheel.

If you want to take things one step further, finish with a little tire shine. Apply it to the sidewalls after your wheels and tires are clean and dry. This can give your tires a darker, finished appearance that complements freshly cleaned wheels. Just be careful to keep tire shine and other detailing products off the wheel surface unless the product is specifically designed for use on your wheel finish.

Pretty simple, right? Regular cleaning is one of the easiest ways to maintain the appearance of your Fittipaldi Off Road wheels. Using products that are compatible with your finish, working one wheel at a time, and avoiding harsh chemicals or aggressive scrubbing can go a long way toward keeping them looking their best.

If you have questions about caring for your wheels, our team is always here to help. Tag @FittipaldiOffRoad in your freshly cleaned wheel shots, before and afters, or even your cleaning process. We want to see how you keep your set looking sharp.
